Undefeated and number 1 contender Riddick Bowe (31-0 27 KO) challenged the current heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield (28-0, 22 KO), in an attempt to become the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the world.

The fight won a number of accolades including Fight of the Year and Round 10 was named Round of the Year.
