Roberto Duran was one of the most feared boxers in his time and one of the greatest finishers too. Just 19 days after beating Saoul Mamby, the Panamanian legend traveled to his opponent’s hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania to defend his WBA Lightweight world title in 1976.

Lou Bizzaro used the huge ring to frustrate Duran, but in the 10th the champion finally caught up with him and sent him to the canvas twice before being saved by the bell. With some assistance from the referee, the brave challenger did well to continue up until the 14th round where Roberto Duran finished him with a devastating knockout.
