We’ve all seen Will Smith’s ‘Ali’ and now the attention of boxing fans is drawn to ‘One Night in Miami.’

Known for his raw talent, unique personality, and often controversial beliefs, ‘The Greatest’ rose to fame beating the likes of Henry Cooper, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, George Foreman and eventually even Uncle Sam!

Competing as a heavyweight between 1960 and 1981, those who brush up on their history will know that Ali was far more than just an athlete.

On the night that Ali beat Sonny Liston to become world heavyweight champion for the first time, his life changed forever. Not just as a boxer, but as a civil rights activist.

On the 25th February 1964, Ali and his ringside guests went back to the Hampton House motel in Miami. One of the few hotels that would accommodate black people. Alongside the newly crowned world heavyweight champion stood human rights activist Malcolm X, singer Sam Cooke and NFL legend Jim Brown.

The four men began a journey that would change the course of American history. Described by some as the ‘Black Avengers’, Ali (alongside Malcolm, Cooke and Brown) is once again being portrayed on the big screen.

A fly on the wall as to how four icons used their platforms to help achieve equality, ‘One Night in Miami’ brings ‘The Greatest’ back to life and is now available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video.
