Last week, Floyd Mayweather claimed he is coming out of retirement and will have two fights in 2020.

Saul Alvarez was quick to tell the media he would love a rematch.

“I have always imagined it (the rematch against Mayweather), but more than a defeat it is an apprenticeship,” Canelo said to ESPN Deportes.

“I would love to (have the rematch), but I don’t think he’s turning around here. He doesn’t want a fight with me… He’s gonna take on an MMA fighter,” Canelo said to TMZ.

Canelo’s coach Eddy Reynoso has revealed the 4 man shortlist for his fighters next bout scheduled for May 2020. GGG, Callum Smith, John Ryder & Billy Joe Saunders are the men Team Canelo have picked and will make an announcement on January 15, once they have discussed things with DAZN.
